Join us for our new NHL STREET ball hockey leagues, hosted by the new Airdrie Cyclones Ball Hockey club! These leagues are a fantastic opportunity for all ages to develop their hockey skills, play games, and experience the thrill of floor hockey in a fun and encouraging environment of NHL Street!

​NHL STREET brings new style, energy, and gameplay to the sport of hockey. We’re creating an affordable, neighborhood-based model that gives kids everywhere an opportunity to learn and play.

NHL STREET is designed to provide kids and their families the best of what youth sports can be: having fun, staying active, making friends, and creating great memories.

That’s why the NHL is inviting you to join a local street hockey league, where kids of all skill levels can learn and play.

Created with parents in mind, we’re ensuring the pressure, schedules, and costs typically associated with hockey (and other youth sports) are kept in check.

🏒 Airdrie Cyclones – NHL STREET Ball Hockey (Fall Season)
Fall Program Update
The Airdrie Cyclones are gearing up for another season of NHL STREET ball hockey! To make this season possible, we need clear commitments from players and adults.

Registration & Fees
  • All previously paid fees will be refunded.
  • Only interest-only registrations are being accepted at this time (no payment required).
  • A minimum of 50 registered players by Oct. 1st is required. If this is not met, the program will be cancelled and we will aim to restart in the new year.
  • Once the threshold is reached, payment requests will be issued. Early bird and coupon discounts will still apply.

​Volunteer Roles Needed
  • 2–4 consistent volunteers to oversee weekly game-day operations (fees reimbursed at season’s end).
  • Coaches for each team.
  • Officials/referees to run the games.

​🟠 NHL STREET / Airdrie Cyclones Ball Hockey – Fall League Registration Now Open!
Get ready for another exciting season of NHL STREET with Airdrie Cyclones Ball Hockey and Airdrie Camps! Our Fall 2025 indoor league runs for 8 weeks and offers a fast-paced, skill-building, and fun-first experience for boys and girls ages 6–15 (Grades 1–9 for Fall 2025). Whether you're new to the game or already love ball hockey, this league is all about getting active, playing hard, and having fun — street-style!

🗓️ League Schedule: (TBD depending on registration numbers)
  • Start/End Dates: Saturdays, October 11 – December 13, 2025 (Tentative dates, final schedule TBD)
  • Times: 4:30 PM – 8:30 PM (Exact times vary by age group)
  • Location: Genesis Place Field House - Fields 1B & 1C
  • Cost: $250 per player (includes NHL Street jersey, Genesis Place field rentals, insurance, paid refs (depending on numbers), etc.) - Early bird 10% discount before Sept 1st!

📝 Registration Information
  • Opens: August 25, 2025
  • Closes: October 1, 2025
  • PLEASE NOTE:
    • We are only taking no payment interest only registrations right now as we will need at least 50 players registered to proceed with the season, otherwise it will be cancelled and we will try again in the new year. If we do get to that number, we will then send out payment requests (early bird and coupon discounts will still apply) and start planning the final details for the league.
    • We are also in need of 2-4 volunteers to commit to running the game day operations and to being there every week. Your players fees will fully reimbursed at the end of the season for your time. Please contact us if you are interested and fill out the volunteer section of the registration. We cannot run the league without these individuals, as well as coaches for each team and refs/officials, so please consider volunteering in order to make this season a success!

  • Ages 6–9 (Gr 1–3)
  • Ages 9–12 (Gr 4–6)
  • Ages 12–15 (Gr 7–9)
Each division will feature weekly 1-hour blocks, including a brief warm-up/practice and structured games. The final week wraps up with playoff matchups and NHL STREET-style shootouts to crown division champions!

  • Official NHL STREET reversible jersey (yours to keep!)
Bring Your Own:
  • Hockey stick (street/floor hockey style) – NHL Street branded stick available for purchase during registration!
  • Non-marking indoor shoes
  • Water bottle
  • Goalie gear (if you plan to play goalie) – NHL Street branded goalie equipment available for purchase during registration!
  • Highly Recommended:
    • Helmet (soft shell or hard helmet with/without cage)
    • Shin guards (hockey or soccer)
    • Mouth guard
    • Hockey gloves (street or ice)
🚫 No skates, shoulder pads, elbow pads, or ice hockey pants permitted.

AIRDRIE CYCLONES BALL HOCKEY - LEAGUE STAFF
ROB COTTAM - ACBH LEAGUE COORDINATOR​
Rob has been passionate about hockey from a young age, playing competitively at both the community and quadrant levels, and eventually suiting up at the Junior B level. With over 12 years of coaching experience across Community, Quadrant, and Recreational programs, Rob has become a dedicated leader in youth hockey development.

He has completed all coaching certifications through Hockey Alberta and brings a wealth of knowledge, energy, and commitment to every practice and game. Rob is deeply focused on creating a positive, inclusive environment where players can build confidence, develop skills, and grow both as athletes and individuals. As ACBH League Coordinator, Rob continues to share his passion for the game—guiding the next generation of players to love hockey as much as he does.
CRAIG BLUMHAGEN - NHL STREET PROGRAM COORDINATOR
Craig brings years of experience in both playing and coaching sports, with a strong passion for youth development and community involvement. He has coached a variety of sports alongside his children, most recently serving as the Head Coach Coordinator for the AFS Flag Football League. Craig is also actively involved with his son's hockey team in Airdrie, where he continues to support young athletes on and off the ice.

As the NHL Street Program Coordinator, Craig is committed to creating a fun, inclusive, and positive environment where every participant feels valued. His goal is to help kids fall in love with the game, all while emphasizing sportsmanship, teamwork, and character development. With his energy and enthusiasm, Craig ensures that every child’s experience is memorable, engaging, and rooted in the joy of play.
