Join us for our new NHL STREET ball hockey leagues, hosted by the new Airdrie Cyclones Ball Hockey club! These leagues are a fantastic opportunity for all ages to develop their hockey skills, play games, and experience the thrill of floor hockey in a fun and encouraging environment of NHL Street!

NHL STREET brings new style, energy, and gameplay to the sport of hockey. We’re creating an affordable, neighborhood-based model that gives kids everywhere an opportunity to learn and play.

NHL STREET is designed to provide kids and their families the best of what youth sports can be: having fun, staying active, making friends, and creating great memories.

That’s why the NHL is inviting you to join a local street hockey league, where kids of all skill levels can learn and play.

When you join NHL STREET™, you can expect a fast-paced game that teaches teamwork, creativity, and resilience.

Created with parents in mind, we’re ensuring the pressure, schedules, and costs typically associated with hockey (and other youth sports) are kept in check.

Adult/Teen (16+) Ball Hockey League – Fall 2025
ADULT REGISTRATION - OPENS AUGUST 25th!

​🏒 Airdrie Cyclones Ball Hockey – Fall Adult League Registration Now Open!
Looking for a fun way to stay active this fall? Join the Airdrie Cyclones Adult Ball Hockey League, powered by NHL STREET and Airdrie Camps!
This is a co-ed recreational league for ages 16+, open to all skill levels—from seasoned players to anyone just looking to jump back into the game. It’s all about fast-paced fun, good vibes, and a great community atmosphere!
🗓 League Details:
  • Ages: 16+ (Co-Ed)
  • Dates: October 23 – December 18, 2025 (Thursday nights)
  • Time: Between 7:00 PM – 11:00 PM (schedule depends on number of teams)
  • Location: Airdrie Christian Academy Gym (77 Gateway Dr NE)
  • Format: 4v4 or 5v5, based on registration numbers
  • Skill Level: Recreational & inclusive
  • Cost: $150 / per player
  • Teams: Teams will be divided up at the discretion of the league based on number of registrations and what is entered for the registration questions/data.  
    • Players can register as full teams by noting in registration the name of team captain.
      • Min 7 / Max 10 players per team.
    • Individual players that register on their own will be placed on teams as needed.

  • If we receive enough interest, we’ll create a dedicated women's division alongside the co-ed group!

  • Stick and indoor shoes
  • Gloves and shin guards recommended
  • Goalie gear (bring your own)

REQUIRED EQUIPMENT TO BRING:
  • NHL Street reversible team jersey (provided)
  • Hockey Stick (street/floor suitable)
  • Indoor non-marking athletic shoes
  • Water Bottle / Snacks as required
  • Goalies Needed - Street Hockey Goalie equipment: (Mask, Leg & Chest Pads, Glove, Blocker & Goalie Stick)
Recommended Equipment:
  • Mouth Guard
  • Hockey Gloves (Street or Ice)
  • Shin Guards (Hockey or Soccer)
  • Helmets (Hard helmet with/without cage or Soft helmets are allowed)
No other hockey gear allowed: Skates, elbow and shoulder pads, ice hockey pants, and ice hockey goalie equipment are not permitted.

AIRDRIE CYCLONES BALL HOCKEY - LEAGUE STAFF

ROB COTTAM - ACBH LEAGUE COORDINATOR​
Rob has been passionate about hockey from a young age, playing competitively at both the community and quadrant levels, and eventually suiting up at the Junior B level. With over 12 years of coaching experience across Community, Quadrant, and Recreational programs, Rob has become a dedicated leader in youth hockey development.

He has completed all coaching certifications through Hockey Alberta and brings a wealth of knowledge, energy, and commitment to every practice and game. Rob is deeply focused on creating a positive, inclusive environment where players can build confidence, develop skills, and grow both as athletes and individuals. As ACBH League Coordinator, Rob continues to share his passion for the game—guiding the next generation of players to love hockey as much as he does.
CRAIG BLUMHAGEN - NHL STREET PROGRAM COORDINATOR
Craig brings years of experience in both playing and coaching sports, with a strong passion for youth development and community involvement. He has coached a variety of sports alongside his children, most recently serving as the Head Coach Coordinator for the AFS Flag Football League. Craig is also actively involved with his son's hockey team in Airdrie, where he continues to support young athletes on and off the ice.

As the NHL Street Program Coordinator, Craig is committed to creating a fun, inclusive, and positive environment where every participant feels valued. His goal is to help kids fall in love with the game, all while emphasizing sportsmanship, teamwork, and character development. With his energy and enthusiasm, Craig ensures that every child’s experience is memorable, engaging, and rooted in the joy of play.
