AIRDRIE CAMPS is proud to partner with local Airdrie football programs to provide non-contact football skills development camps for beginners and advanced alike, to increase and practice football knowledge for upcoming seasons or just getting out and having fun, learning the game of football. |
Did you know that while youth participation in sports overall has declined 13% over the last decade, more kids than ever are getting involved with FLAG football?

GEORGE BARENDREGT
George’s first love will always be the original football game – aka, soccer – he’s played for most of his life and was a coach and official for EMSA for several more. He’s especially proud to have coached with the Family Friendly soccer league in Edmonton for 9 years and to have served as President of the Men's Christian Soccer Association in Edmonton for 3 years. More recently, he’s become a football fan, volunteering with our AFS league and currently acting as our AFS Flag Football Director of Officials. Did we mention George has 10 kids? Yep, that’s right. He can handle a crowd and especially enjoys a group of rowdy kids. He sees the benefits of a sport-for-life attitude and looks forward to instilling the values of activity and fun as he teaches your kids the basics of flag football. |
AIRDRIE FOOTBALL SOCIETY
The Airdrie Football Society (AFS) was formed in 2010 to promote an active interest and participation in minor football. In support of that goal, the AFS Flag Football League was established in 2016 and provides a fun and inexpensive non-contact football experience for Airdrie youth. Find out more about the AFS and our youth flag football league at airdriefootballsociety.ca |
